ONE of the country’s leading fish farms has revealed that it is struggling to meet the unprecedented demand for fresh stocks from fisheries and clubs.
According to Viv Shears, from VS Fisheries, orders have been piling up at other fish farms too, for everything from crucians and tench right through to big carp.
“Both new and established venues are keen to replenish their stocks to keep the sport’s wave of new anglers fully entertained,” said Viv.
“It’s a reflection on the current angling market, and Covid has had a massive impact. More anglers on the bank means more money for clubs to invest in their fisheries.”
