STANLEY Jasper is just five, but already he’s caught the fish of a lifetime – a 4lb 9oz perch – on his first trip!
He was fishing with dad Paul at Choller Farm Fishing Lake, in West Sussex, when he landed the giant stripey on polefished maggots.
“We’d already had a fantastic day, catching lots of quality roach, but nothing could prepare us for what came next,” Paul told us.
“Stanley hooked into what was clearly a much bigger fish, and when he netted this huge perch, myself and the other anglers around the lake were shocked… both by the size of the fish and the look on his face!
"Safe to say, he’s now completely hooked on fishing!”
