Gloucestershire rod Luke Jordan fished through foul weather to catch this 17lb 12oz zander on a lure from a Midlands venue.
Having banked an early nine-pounder, Luke fished on for a few hours with no further success, so stopped for a bit of lunch.
Once he got going again, it wasn’t long before he had a good hit on the lure and connected with what was clearly a big fish.
He wondered if it might have been a pike, but after 10 minutes of following the fish up and down the bank the large zander finally surfaced.
