With the pike season well underway now, many anglers have been turning to the rivers in search of some of these toothy critters. Often, these venues offer a little more mystery than stillwaters, as you genuinely never know the size of what could be lurking in the flowing water below. Stephen Dye is one angler who can attest to this, as during a recent session with Rahul Elanvogan, the duo managed to land this cracking fish.
“I support a young chap with learning difficulties called Rahul, and the other week we went pike fishing on Norfolk’s River Ant.
“Using half a mackerel, he hooked a fish that fought for 10 minutes before we landed this pike of 25lb 2oz, which beat his PB by over 6lb."
"Rahul was so pleased with himself on what was a memorable day for us both."
