An angler that started a leading charity to promote just how beneficial angling can be for people’s mental health is set to appear on a national TV show tomorrow.

Tackling Minds founder Dave Lyons will go in front of the cameras when he appears live on Channel 4s ‘Steph’s Packed Lunch’.

Hosted by journalist and TV presenter Steph McGovern, the segment will see Dave reveal the struggles he faced with alcohol addiction and how angling helped him on to his well-documented road to recovery.

With viewing figures showing that upwards of 200,000 people tune in for the show, it is a fantastic opportunity for Dave to highlight the incredible work that he and those within his organisation have done. He's already made other TV appearances to promote the work of Talking Minds, including a short section in the first episode of this season's Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing.

You can see Dave in action and find out more about Tackling Minds and his story by tuning in to Channel 4 tomorrow (September 14, 2023) at midday.
