A TRIP to a Cotswold Water Park gravel pit produced the goods for Fox Rage consultant Trevor Gunning, who banked perch of 4lb 10oz and 4lb 5oz.
After four unproductive hours, he landed the smaller fish on a creature bait fished along the deck.
Later he moved along the bank, and after casting to the edge of the ledge he connected with what he initially thought was a pike.
“It fought deep and hard, but then a huge perch surfaced 10m out and gave a heart-stopping headshake.
“I knew it was bigger than the first, and it went 4lb 10oz and gave me a brace for 8lb 15oz – a fantastic way to get back on those gravel pit perch.”
