KANE HAMMOND compiled one of the best float-caught chub hauls ever when he slipped his net under five seven-pounders, four ‘sixes’ and a brace of ‘fives’ during a memorable session.
The 18-year-old found the Dorset Stour carrying extra colour, so added liquidised bread to his maggot and hemp attack. He then trotted a 6.4g Loafer float with 4lb line, a size 20 hook and a maggot hookbait. His five best fish scaled 7lb 12oz, 7lb 6oz, 7lb 5oz, 7lb 4oz, and 7lb 3oz.
This winter alone Kane has now landed 24 chub over 6lb!
