A schoolboy has just banked a fish so big it took three fully-grown men to haul it out of the water!

11-year-old Joshua Davenport was on a trip with his family on the River Ebro in Spain when he banked the colossal 152lb catfish. It took him 25 minutes to land after it took his double 20mm halibut pellets hookbait.

“It was amazing,” Joshua’s mum, Lorna King, told us.

“He learned how to safely deal with fish of this size on the trip, thanks to the expert help of the team at Ebro Mad Cats.

“He’s had a passion for fishing ever since he was big enough to hold a rod and caught his first catfish when he was just five years old. But this one smashes his previous PB of 40lb. It’s one he’ll never forget.”
