The lads at Drennan have extended their highly successful Series 7, 9-30 Float, and 9-40 Feeder size reel range with the introduction of two larger ‘Carp Feeder’ models.

Like the originals, the nine ball bearing, rear drag Series 7 Carp Feeder 9-45 and 9-50 variants are each designed to carry around 100 metres of mono, so they don’t require any backing.

They’re aimed at anglers using larger diameter lines when targeting medium-sized carp, chub and barbel, or commercial pool fishing at range.

Both Carp Feeder reels are supplied with a shallow main alloy spool and two shallow composite spares. Each spool has a slightly different line capacity.

The Carp Feeder 9-45 alloy spool takes 100m of 10lb line, one composite spool takes 100m of 8lb and the other 100m of 6lb. The 9-50 model carries 250m of 10lb, 100m or 10lb and 100m of 8lb.

Rubber buttons are provided for instant line diameter/breaking strain identification. These clip into the centre of each spool.
