A trio of swim changes paid off in style for Kirk Watts who netted this 28lb mirror from a Norfolk stillwater.
Arriving at first light, the local rod was met with a strong south westerly wind and set up in the teeth of it. After a couple of hours without any action he moved on to the back of it, but he was soon on the move again after another uneventful 60 minutes.
He said: “I cast two rods into open water and one tight to a marginal snag and put a scattering of Sticky Vor-tex freebies over each. I started getting liners on the margin rod which eventually turned in to a one-toner. The fish weeded my up briefly but I eventually netted the one of the lake’s biggest mirrors.”
