Dave Magalhaes has continued to work his way through the carp in CEMEX Angling’s Road Lake, and the latest of its residents to grace his net was this 38lb 9oz mirror.
The 30-year-old spotted the highly-sought after mirror known as The Dink feeding in the edge and cast a tiger nut hookbait tipped with a piece of maize tight to an overhanging bush.
He received the take the next afternoon and after steering it away from the snags he netted his prize.
Dave mounted his hookbait on a 3ins Atomic Tackle 25lb Bare-Bak hooklink and a size 6 Atomic Tackle Grabba hook with a 4oz drop-off inline lead.
