An angler that has devoted years to creating an unbeatable silverfish approach has smashed a match record at a popular venue.
Club angler Andy Fisher regularly targets waters that are home to big shoals of carp but is adamant that his tactics – that centre around catching ide, skimmers and chub on virtually every drop in – can dominate.
He helped prove his theory during his latest outing when he placed triple figures of silvers on to the scales, beating several carp bags.
“It’s taken me a while to perfect my approach but I’ve made a few tweaks and it’s worked a treat. It’s all about feeding in a certain way and making tiny tweaks to your rig,” explained Andy.
