At Maver’s recent tradeshow the Redditch based company unveiled what we believe to be its best-ever clothing ¬ the new Supercell range.
It comprises two garments, a bib and brace and a matching jacket. Both are sure to prove popular with anglers this coming winter, but the lightweight design makes them equally suitable for year-round use.
The clothing benefits from newly developed ‘state of the art’ Therma-hide fabrics that feature all the weatherproof qualities you would expect to find in modern outdoor clothing, and in addition it has a soft-touch outer shell material at the forefront of fabric technology.
The bib and brace is a high back design to block out any cold winds, and the two elasticated shoulder straps are fully adjustable to provide a comfortable fit.
On the jacket you will find a high collar that zips right up to block out the wind, and a detachable drawstring hood for those cold wet days. To be honest, with the hood detached it looks more like a smart fleece than a coat and is certainly stylish enough to be worn down the pub or for a trip into town.
As well as being fully waterproof and windproof the clothing is also breathable, preventing you from getting damp through moisture retained inside.
All the seams are fully taped to prevent any leakage, while full micro-fibre linings with neoprene storm cuffs on the jacket ensure a comfortable and snug fit.
Further top features include waterproof YKK zips and Maver branded zip pullers.
Having worn the very distinguished new black and grey liveried combination we can vouch for both its wearer comfort as well as the fabulous warmth it offers.
This clothing certainly seems to be a cut above any other angling apparel we have seen at this price point so far this season.
