We say...

Originally a trout lake, this 11-acre water with 20 swims now offers some great carp fishing in the North West.

There are roughly 200 carp in here, with plenty of doubles and good head of twenties up to over 30lb. In May 2017 it produced three new thirties up to 31lb.

Swims one to nine offer great access, with parking behind each peg, and the channel that runs in front of these pegs is a popular spot.

Bailiff Curtis Hitchmough says...

"Particles work really well on here. In winter we feed them with maize once or twice a fortnight until the warmer weather, and more anglers, return.

"We feed in a sort of square shape around the lake, but people have been fishing over the maize from peg 12 at about 18/19 wraps - that seems to be a popular spot.

"The channel is also very popular, but the fish can start to back off in spring.

"If there is any wind it's almost essential you move on it straight away. They love to follow the wind here. And when the fish are having it, you can have a big hit over a big bed of bait.

"Yellow baits tend to work very well on Sunny Two, and they will take a dog biscuit off the top too."
