The Spinner! We don’t need to repeat what an awesome pop-up rig this is, we use it all the time. But it’s great for bottom baits too. In fact, with the hook lying flat on the bottom it can be phenomenal.
The Spinner is the one rig you need
Both of us would probably agree that to get the best from it you want baits under 15mm, matched with a big size 4 Krank hook – a bit strange, but it works.
You can use it as a snowman
The boom section is usually our Boom fluorocarbon material in 25lb, which works in pretty much all conditions.
You can use it with balanced tigers
The only time we would consider changing from this is if the bottom is particularly soft, in which case a switch to a coated braid like N-Trap would help the rig sit better on the lakebed.
It works with maggots too!
