How to catch on a slice of bread

An angler who has won three matches on the bounce at a popular commercial fishery and bagged 400lb of carp in the process has revealed the secret to his success is using just a single piece of bread and no loosefeed during each session.

Cambridgeshire-based ace Matt Ayres has been the man of moment at his local Headefen Lakes and has managed to bag table topping hauls of 104lb, 120lb and 175lb in consecutive outings.

While the rest of the field have been piling in cupful’s of bait in an effort to draw in the shoals into their swims, Matt has been dropping a small piece of breadpunch within inches of the far bank foliage to pick off the fish one at a time.
