The Crossfire boasts a graphite body and rotor, graphite being both extremely rigid and low weight. An aluminimum spool and handle create durability and strength on key pressure points of the reel. The handle has been machine cut to ensure that there are no weak spots and it's finished with an ergonomic ABS knob for excellent grip. And Daiwa’s ABS II technology means you can cast longer with greater accuracy. This is due to a large diameter spool, which increases in size towards the spools top and allows line to peel off easily, without twists. Also preventing line twist is Daiwa’s Twistbuster II line roller.

What a serious reel for just £26! Performance wise its up there with models three times its price. Go for the 2500 for spinning and light float work, the 3000 for general feeder and waggler fishing and the 4000 for bigger fish and fishing further out. This is definitely going in our tackle bag, the only dilemma is which colour?
