This is the new 2015-2016 Environment Agency rod licence and anglers are being urged to go out and but one now.
The licences, which boast the iconic image of a crucian carp, are valid from April 1 2015, but are now available at the same price as last season.
It was designed by renowned angling and wildlife artist David Miller, whose artwork also featured on a range of Royal Mail stamps in 2014.
A rod licence is a legal requirement for anglers in the UK and last year the Environment Agency checked 80,000 rod licences and prosecuted 2,795 anglers for fishing without one.
Licences cost £27 for coarse fishing and non-migratory trout, or £72 to fish for salmon and sea trout. A second licence will be required for those who wish to fish with more than two rods.
There are also one or eight-day licences available, as well as junior and concessionary options. Buy them from www.postoffice.co.uk/rod-fishing-licence or by phoning 0344 800 5386.
