Personal best from Essex syndicate

Teenager Sam Tittensor banked his first British thirty with this 34lb 4oz mirror.

The Essex 14-year-old caught the new personal best from a tough syndicate in Upminster. He said: “This winter the water has fished really hard and I hadn't caught a carp from the lake since December. I turned up at the lake on Sunday, expecting a session like any other, little did I know I was about to break my pb.”

The fish took a Solar CNC boilie in the early hours and gave Sam a good scrap. He added: “This was a new thirty for the lake and I was amazed that me of all people had caught it.”
