Getting a taste for it on father-and-son fishing session

A Maiden father-and-son carp fishing session for Paul Heseltine brought him two thirties and three twenties.

The 31-year-old Nottinghamshire angler took his four-year-old son Rylen to Monks Pit in Cambridgeshire and the pair notched up 10 fish in total, topped by mirrors of 34lb 3oz and 32lb 2oz.

“It was made that little bit more special as this was the first father-and-son outing for me and my little man. Although he wasn’t actually fishing, it was very nice to see him taking such a great interest in our sport and I’m sure he will soon be fishing with me,” said Paul, who targeted clear areas between weed and baited with Mad Baits boilies presented on multi-rigs.
