Bury Hill Fisheries produced its first 30-pounder of the year to Jaco Toerien on his debut session.
The fish, known as Friar Tuck, pulled the scales round to 34lb 8oz at the well-known Surrey venue.
Owner David de Vere said: “The first Bury Hill thirty of the year fell to new specimen carp member Jaco Toerien. The fish gives Jaco a new personal best on his first ever session on Temple Lake. The fish was caught at about 10am on February 20 from the margins to the left of peg 12.
“Jaco used homemade scopex boilies wrapped in matching paste and balanced with a fruity pop-up with a few chops and some corn and maggots scattered around his rigs.”
