Big grayling from River Frome

Lots of homework to locate a shoal of grayling bared fruits for Dean Derbyshire when he took this personal best 3lb 10oz fish from the River Frome.

The Dorset-based angler has dedicated a large part of the winter to the species and he enjoyed his best session of the season in search of them by using both maggot and corn under a Drennan loafer float.

It was a bite almost every run through the swim for Dean, with over 20 grayling finding their way in to his net on the day, with standout specimens of 2lb 5oz, 2lb 8oz and 3lb 5oz being fooled before the new pb showed up.
