Wesley Coggleshall has landed his seventh forty of the year in the form of this 40lb 3oz mirror from a Kent park lake.
The fish was the biggest of three carp landed by the 33-year-old ventilation engineer during a 48 hour session on the tricky venue.
Targeting the bottom of an island shelf at 20yds range, Wesley baited up with around 2kg of 16mm Sticky Krill boilies.
“All the fish came in the early hours of the morning after the storms the night before,” he told Angling Times.
Wesley’s winning presentation consisted of a snowman rig with a 20mm Krill bottom bait and a 15mm Pineapple pop-up mounted on a size 5 G-Force Straight Point hook and a 25lb Blackout hooklink.
