Linear Fisheries is holding an Open-Day on the 21st of April 2012. The outdoor event will be held on Linear’s Brasenose-Two Lake and is free to attend.
There will be a number of exhibitors and well known faces on hand to give all the advice you need on anything “carpy”, some of the exhibitors will be selling, with others just there to exhibit.
This one day event will commence at 9am and finish at 5pm, hot food will be available from Top-Bun and there will be amply parking, although there may be a spot of walking from the car depending on how busy it gets!
Those already confirmed are Richworth, Drennan/ESP, Sonubaits, Avid Carp, Korda, Blake’s Baits and Nash who will be bringing along their Fishery Roadshow.
On top of this, Sparsholt College, who specialise in aquaculture and fishery courses will be there and Richard 'Cash' Farnhan will be on hand selling the ‘Lifting the Lid’ DVD which was filmed at Linear’s Hardwick/Smiths Lake.
The local mobile police station will also be attending along with a company called Smartwater who produce a product that can chemically code your fishing tackle to help deter thieves.
Part of the event will also be aimed at raising money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association - there will be a tombola and raffle tickets on sale, with some brilliant prizes on offer. On the MNDA stand there will also be the opportunity to apply to fish our "Fish with the Stars" charity event later in the year, with bookings being taken on a first come first served basis.
All the stands will be located on the western side of Brasenose-Two and will require driving past anglers fishing on Hardwick/Smiths and Brasenose-One, please respect those anglers fishing by sticking to the speed limit and causing as little disturbance as possible.
