Edwards wins €6,000 in Merida Masters

Welsh International Lee Edwards has won the Merida Masters in Spain scooping the top prize of €6,000.

Fished by top anglers from across Europe on the River Guadiana, Lee was joined by last year’s English winner Brad Titmus, plus fellow Brits Simon WIllsmore, Steve Gardner and Callum Dicks on the three-day event.

Preston Innovations backed Lee scored five points during the festival tying with Spaniard Angel Royo, however, Lee won on weight aggregate almost doubling Angel’s weight.

Simon finished fifth overall giving the Brits almost £10,000 to share between them.
