Ton up weights dominate at Moorfields

The Main Lake at Yorkshire’s Moorfield Farm Fishery was in blistering form during the latest event, with more than half of the field smashing through the magical 100lb barrier.

Bites came thick and fast to most competitors in the opening stages but at the halfway point several anglers had peeled off from the main crowd and it was Andy Waters who eventually managed to land first place with 177lb 4oz.

All his carp were taken on pellet presented on both the long and short pole lines from peg 51.

Runner up Steve Rispin needed 149lb 6oz, with third placed Dave Parker recording 142lb 10oz.
