Respected match organiser dies

One of the sport’s most dedicated ambassadors for river fishing has sadly passed away.

Tributes have been flooding in this week after passionate angler and river match organiser Keith Ford died as he made his way to a peg on his beloved Beauchamp Arms stretch of the river Yare in Norfolk on Saturday June 25.

The 64-year-old, from Sprowston, had been promoting fishing and organising matches on behalf of Great Yarmouth & Norfolk Angling Association for over 25 years and his tireless dedication to the sport saw him responsible for some of the best and most well attended river contests in recent times.

Angling Times’ deepest condolences go out to his wife Pam and all of his family.
