Norfolk carp record broken

The Norfolk carp record has been broken by Richie Lofthouse with this huge 52lb mirror carp from Lenwade Charity Lakes.

The 28-year-old Korda consultant had been targeting the fish since April and actually lost it on a previous session due to a hook pull. On this occasion, though, he managed to get the impressive specimen feeding confidently on cubes of bread.

Following a powerful scrap during which the fish weeded him up, Richie beat his prize with a 9lb Guru N-Gauge hooklink attached to a size 6 Korda Wide Gape hook.
