A top match angler has developed a deadly shallow fishing approach that has helped him take four victories on the trot at a popular commercial complex.
St Helens-based rod Chris Weeder Jnr has been in unstoppable form at his local Blundells Fishery and has managed to fend off strong competition time and time again by adopting the unique tactic.
The tactic has been so prolific that it has helped Chris smash the triple figure barrier on every occasion with fish averaging under 1lb, with one of his match results coming agonisingly close to smashing the lake record.
“Not enough people fish shallow like this but if they did they’d absolutely empty their local water. If F1s and small carp are the target, this is unbeatable,” explained Chris.
