Crisis meeting held to discuss predation

A meeting to discuss the worrying predation problem plaguing the nation’s rivers and stillwaters has been attended by a number of angling’s leading figures.

Members of the Predation Action Group which included Go Fishing TV star John Wilson met with officials from the Angling Trust to create a plan of action regarding the control of otters, cormorants and signal crayfish.

Various viewpoints were aired during the meeting and although both parties agreed on the way forward with cormorants and crayfish, the otter crisis split the panel.
