Chod rig fools 38lb 7oz mirror from low-stock venue

Some anglers spend years trying to catch their first thirty, but it only took Stuart Hammond 19 months with his capture of this 38lb 7oz mirror from a southern stillwater.

With only 35 carp in eight acres the lake is far from easy, and after 12 nights he previously only had a tench to show for his efforts.

This all changed, however, with a take in the early hours of the morning when the specimen mirror carp picked up his GB Baits Plum and Shellfish pop-up which he presented on a chod rig with a size 6 Korda Choddy hook.
