Cancer Research benefits from fundraiser

Cancer Research received a welcome £850 boost after anglers congregated at Suffolk Water Park to raise funds for the cause.

Match rods from across the area descended upon the Ipswich complex to rake in as much cash as possible for the charity and there were also a number of big weights recorded on the day.

Top rod at the final whistle was Liam Darler who managed to haul out 84lb 6oz of carp on the pellet waggler from peg 28 on Match Lake One.

Runner up Taylor Thorpe was only one fish away from being the champion but had to settle for the runners up spot after he weighed 83lb 11oz.
