Bream bag sets new record at Porth Reservoir

Cornwall’s Porth Reservoir saw a new match record when Mal Proctor landed a staggering 98lb 14oz of bream during a recent White Acres festival.

The Yorkshireman caught fish to 8lb on a Method feeder and boilie cast around 40 yards from peg 71. Big bream have been feeding well at Porth, a venue traditionally associated with roach and small skimmers. Top pegs for bream are currently 70, 71, 72, 16 and 17.
