Big pollock by the dozen from the shore

You don’t need to go out on a boat to experience arm-aching action….just ask visiting Dutch anglers Edwin, Tony, Ferry and Martin, who caught a staggering 38 big Pollock from a single rock mark during a hectric afternoon’s fishing on the Beara Peninsula in the south western tip of Ireland.

Many of the fish were in the 4lb to 6lb range, and the catch was topped off by a magnificent brace weighing 8lb and 9lb 2oz.

During their week long holiday they also caught huss and ray to 5lb, and wrasse to 3lbs.
