The Award-winning Tunnel Barn Farm Fishery is soon set to get even bigger and better as work on a brand-new water has got underway.
Water is currently being directed into what will become the eighth lake on the Shrewley, Warks-based complex, and it is expected to produce more of the huge weights that pleasure, club and match anglers have become accustomed to and which have seen the fishery build up a country-wide reputation.
The new lake will boast 25 pegs and be generously stocked with F1 carp and silverfish that will not only make up 100lb-plus bags in the summer, but also keep the bites coming throughout the colder winter months.
Every peg will be around 6ft in depth and there will also be a central island to give every angler a feature to fish to, making every swim as fair as possible.
“We not only want to make this site bigger and even better than before, but to create another water that can provide big weights for anglers whatever their ability,” said fishery owner Mike Hamblington.
Jenny’s Lake is set to be available to fish next year. For more information about the fishery visit www.tunnelbarnfarm.co.uk or call 01926 842188.
