Shatterford Lakes’ catfish are now on the feed!

This 36lb catfish landed by Daven Percival is proof that the predators at prolific Shatterford Lakes are well and truly on the feed.

Both Erics Lake and Stuarts Lake hold a big head of specimen cats and specialist Daven, from Halesowen in the West Midlands, fished the latter to bank his fish ¬ which falls just 4oz short of the current lake record.

He used a meat hookbait, fished just two rodlengths out from the bank, to make his catch The complex, near Kidderminster, Worcs, isn’t just about big fish ¬ there are also some huge weights to over 50lb of silverfish being taken elsewhere on the six-lake complex that also boasts a specimen trout water.
