Bawburgh complex on fine tench and bream fishing form

Norfolk specimen angler Darryn Stolworthy continued his run of big-fish form by catching this 14lb 2oz specimen bream from the Bawburgh fishing complex in Norfolk last week.

The 40-year-old roofer returned to the scene of his recent capture of a 10lb 10oz tench to bank the enormous bream, adding two tench of 8lb 13oz and 9lb 14oz during the same overnight session.

Once again it was a combination of hair-rigged rubber casters presented over a big bed of loosefeed which did the business for Costessey-based Darryn.

“What an amazing day’s fishing! The lake seemed to switch on over the weekend and several other anglers also got among the fish, with a number of double-figure tench banked,” said Darryn, who used a 2oz inline Fox lead, 10lb mainline, and a short hooklink of 10lb Drennan Double Strength attached to a size 12 hook.
