Pavyotts Mill's first-ever fifty pound+ carp

The potential of up-and-coming specimen carp fishery Pavyotts Mill was underlined this week when it produced a record fish of 52lb 4oz.

It’s the biggest carp ever to grace the bank of the eight-acre Maze Lake at the Yeovil, Somerset venue, and was caught by Bristol carper Ricky James when he fished CC Moore Live System boilies alongside a small PVA bag filled with pellets. The fish, named ‘Sylvia’, has put on almost 3lb since it was last caught just over two months ago and is the first ‘fifty’ to be banked at Pavyotts.
