Norfolk's Taswood Lakes produced 41lb 3oz ghost carp

One of the largest ghost carp in the country has been caught by Nigel Bruce at a massive weight of 41lb 3oz from Taswood Lakes’ Broadwing Lake on the Norfolk complex.
Fishing at the shallow end of the day-ticket water, the local 47-year-old offshore gas rig worker could see the fish cruising over his baited spot in the far margin, but had to wait until the following morning before it made its mistake.
He told AT: “The fish came to the surface early on in the fight and as soon as I saw it I knew exactly what I was connected to. Thankfully, it didn’t try to get into any snags and just charged around in the open water.”
The huge ghostie is the first
forty that the complex has produced, and it smashed Nigel’s previous personal best of 22lb 10oz.
The business end of his rig comprised a fishmeal-flavoured boilie tipped with a piece of artificial corn on a size 8 Korda Kurv Shank hook and a Korda Hybrid Soft hooklink.
