MAP reveals its credit crunch-beating packages

MAP is now offering its budget-priced TKS poles with up to nine top kits in a bid to help anglers beat the credit crunch. And, with the most expensive model selling for just £750, this makes them the best value-for-money poles currently on the market.

For three months only, MAP is throwing in two free additional top kits worth a total of £70 to the impressive spares packages.

The new offer starts on April 1 (no, it’s not an April Fool’s joke) and will run until June 30. All you have to do is buy the TKS 10, TKS 20, TKS 30 or TKS 40 from a MAP stockist that is participating in the scheme and then you will be entitled to one free power top-2 kit and one free match top-3 kit.

To claim them, you will need to fill in a coupon, which can be found on the back of MAP’s new 2009 pole brochure. Enter your details and return it to MAP along with a completed warranty card and till receipt as proof of purchase and then the free top kits will be sent to the retailer where the pole was purchased for you to collect.

The TKS range, which was launched this time last year, has quickly established success at key price points in the sub-£1,000 category and offers performance that rivals far pricier poles. The addition of an ingenious system of colour-coded marks to show anglers where to cut their top kits when elasticating them has also helped to find favour in the competitive budget-price pole market. MAP brand manager Mike Robinson said: “The TKS poles really are something special.

It was no surprise that they sold out when they hit the market 12 months ago.

“This latest promotion represents the biggest spares package that the company has ever supplied with a pole. It’s possibly the most comprehensive spares collection for poles at each of the relevant price points on the market and will only boost their popularity.”

Sadly, the offer applies only to the TKS models that were launched last year and not to the new top-of-the-range TKS 50 or TKS Margin, which will hit the shops in the next couple of weeks.
