Korum is set to launch its first-ever electronic bite alarm in the next two weeks, Angling Times can exclusively reveal.
Branded the KBI, the new alarms have been designed to be simple to use straight from the box, and priced at just £24.99 they’re sure to prove a big hit this summer with all carp and specimen anglers.
Supplied with rubberised protective covers, the blue LED alarms (no other colour options are available) have latching lights that are cleverly positioned so as to be visible from almost any conceivable angle.
A straightforward on/off button and a basic four-volume level, push-button front facing layout make the new KBI alarm one of the most uncomplicated alarm systems currently on the market.
Dr Paul Garner, Korum’s brand manager, believes it is this simplicity, plus their super reliability, which will see them fly off the shelves.
“When first designing the new KBI alarms we wanted to come up with an alarm design that could be used straight from the box with the minimum of fuss to the angler,” said Paul.
“After more than a year of design changes and intensive field-testing the Korum team are happy that we have now come up with possibility the most user-friendly alarm ever available.”
The KBI alarm is supplied ready fitted with a single PP3 battery – one of the most powerful long-life batteries available – which can be easily and quickly changed over should you ever need to, thanks to the easy entry rear slide-opening battery compartment.
Fitted with a standard stainless steel bankstick screw with rubber ‘O’ ring, and micro-adjuster for perfect alignment, the KBI is the perfect single bankstick alarm option for the static and roving angler alike.
