Angling Times can this week reveal that matchfishing legend Kevin Ashurst is set to unveil a new range of rods, luggage and accessories.
The former world champion has secretly been working in conjunction with the increasingly popular Grandeslam brand to create an assortment of products, including top-quality rods and luggage, with the new gear likely to be launched at the forthcoming Tackle and Guns show.
It is expected that Kevin, who hasn’t been associated with any manufacturer since he left Shimano almost a decade ago, will be attending the show, along with Grandeslam’s other major signing, Angling Times columnist Des Taylor, who will be showing his new Des Taylor Saber range of gear.
All products should hit the shops for early 2010. Kevin said: “This is the first time I’ve been involved in the production of tackle right from the start, and anglers will find it hard to believe the quality of these products for the price, which has always been Grandeslam’s motto.”
