Maybe Drayton has had its day!

We fished Drayton at the weekend and was disappointed how much the fishing had changed since our match there in May of this year.

Me and 2 mates (Rich Kelly and Paul Straker) decided at last minute to go and get some "RIP ROUNDS" before it got too late in the year.

We have been going to Drayton for the last 5 years for a 2 day away trip.

We sat from 8am on the Saturday morning until 3.30pm before we got our first fish, this was a surprise to us as it hasn't taken that long in the past.

I know 2 days are never the same when it comes to fishing but something just wasn't right.

We asked the baliff and he informed us that 2 tonne of fish had been removed so maybe this was the reason, or maybe the impact of the "carpers" has changed it.

Two lines and boilie after boilie going in! The fish did start to feed until about 6pm and I ended up with 10 fish, Rich 6 and Paul 1.

No one else around the venue was catching either until about the same time.

We fished the Sunday until 1.30pm with a similar result, only 2 fish between us and no one else catching much around the venue.

Maybe Drayton has had its day now! 2 photo's attached from the Saturday. Karl
