The angling world has never seen anything quite like it - live footage of a prebaiting campaign from the planning stage right through to the fishing.
That's what users of gofishing.co.uk can see this week as the site's Editor, Iain Toombs, and Angling Times' News Editor, Richard Grange, are creating short video blogs of the whole campaign.
The pair began their campaign on June 10th, emulating previously successful prebaiting sessions on Lincolnshire's River Welland.
"We have caught extremely well from this stretch of river after a few days of baiting up, but never before have we tried to capture the whole event on video. And neither has anyone else - this is a unique opportunity for us and one that we are grasping with both hands," said Iain.
"It's a hell of a gamble as the whole country will either see us fill our boots with bream after bream on the opening day of the season, or we could blow-out and blank. Or the river could even be in flood."
Iain and Richard intend baiting up the river with brown crumb, flaked maize, sweetcorn, boilies and pellets for the six days prior to opening day, then fishing the river from midnight June 16th.
Each day will be available to view in the site's Fishing Videos section, culminating in footage of the pair's session due to be aired on the site late afternoon on Monday 16th June.
