FODAC Open result

Royal Forest of Dean (FODAC) Open Lightmoor Pool Sunday 29th June The first open for this season was a virtual sell out of the 35 pegs and in blustery conditions coupled with the odd heavy shower of rain big carp figured in all the main weights. You had to draw from peg 7 and above to be in contention with Mike Shields of Ashfield Park Products leading the way with seven nice carp in his 34-10-0 haul. Mike alternated between pellet waggler and feeder on peg 14 and picked up £75 for his efforts. Thirteen year old Sam Hughes (Wye Angling) pole fished his way to a very close second with the same number of fish for 33-6-0 from peg 30. Andy Grindle came third with just over 20lbs from peg 20.
