I watched the Robson Green fishing series with great interest but was disappointed with the programmes content.
The use of the gaff to land fish was unecessary and in my wiew barbaric.
Why not use a large landing net?
I find the attitude of the TV programmers somewhat strange when Angling programmes are screened.
They seem to think that the viewer wants to look at the star of the programme involved in extreme and bizarre situations. I am convinced that they are not true anglers or they would not think in this manner.
Why cant good film makers like Hugh Miles get the opportunity to present a series like he did some years ago with "Passion For Angling"?
His sensitive approach and understanding of the sport is just what the average fisherman wants to see.
Hopefully he will get the chance again to film a new series.
