The irrepressible Des Taylor is set to deliver his most controversial Angling Times column in years.
Des, who has become famous over the decades for his often hard-hitting views, is incensed with angling’s inability to form a useful governing body – and he’s given the powers that be both barrels.
He is furious that the RSPB was able to buy up the popular Burton Mere Fishery on the Wirral and promptly ban angling.
“This is Des Taylor at his best – opinionated, angry and utterly convinced he is right,” said AT editor Richard Lee.
“He’s like Marmite – you either love him or hate him, but one thing’s for sure, you can’t ignore what he says.”
