Angling Times journo takes his band to America

Angling Times journalist Ben Miles is all set to swap his keyboard for a Gibson six-string next week when he and fellow band members tour the States.

Ben, lead guitarist with hardcore/rap outfit Vendetta, will be heading off to America on June 5th for a gruelling 17-date tour.

Vendetta formed in 1998, quickly forming a strong and dedicated local following in their home town of Peterborough.

Over the years band members have changed, but Vendetta now has its strongest line-up ever in Adam Chalkley (lead vocals), Gavin Spiers (Drums), Wes Urban(Guitar), Ben Miles (lead guitar), and Sam Warren (bass/backing vocals).

Last September the band joined the mighty Hed PE from California for their 2007 Insomnia European Tour and played venues across the UK from the Glasgow Barfly to the historic Underworld in Camden.

These were the band's best live shows to date and the support and reception Vendetta received on the tour surpassed all expectations, plus also armed the band with valuable experience to take to the road in 2008.

The band are touring alongisde the immensely popular Atlanta-based outfit Stuck Mojo and fellow support act Hatefist from Seattle.

The tour kicks off in Augusta, Georgia on June 6th and will stop at venues at Virginia Beach and the Grand Rapids in Michigan before it ends at the Music Farm in South Carolina on June 22.
